Burrata Margarita Flat Bread Pizza MELISSA HORNUNG

Here is one of the first of a series of recipes that will be prodominantly vegetarian based. We have decided to challenge ourselves and move towards a vegetarian diet based on many reasons, our love for animals, the health benefits of a plant based diet and for the challenge of making meatless meals that are delicious and sharing them with you. I’m not disregarding any of the recipes that I have posted but I am going to rather try and apply them to my vegetarian varieties.

This flat bread pizza is just one recipe that won’t have you wishing for anything more than just this. It’s easy to make, satisfying and convenient. You will see me start with these frozen gourmet types of pizzas and top it with all kinds of things. To be continued. For now, here is what your need 👇🏻

One flat bread pizza, cheese or margarita

1 pint Cherry tomatoes, sliced in half

Fresh basil, one bunch

Mushrooms, sliced, any variety, if you like them

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese

1 container Burrata cheese

Olive Oil

Grated Parmesan Cheese

Salt and pepper

Set the oven temperature according to flat bread directions, take out of the packeave and add the grated mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with some Parmesan cheese, add cherry tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, add some chopped basil and drizzle the whole thing with olive olive, about 1/4 cup. Bake to suggested time or until browned. Take out of the oven and cool for about 5 minutes. Top with a few burrattas sliced in the middle and opened up. Top with more basil. Serve with yummy red wine!!
