Holiday Stars MELISSA HORNUNG

This simple recipe is a family favorite and has been given to selective friends over the years. It satisfies all of those cravings of crunchy, savory and cheesy goodness. And it can be modified in so many ways to suit your taste and mood. Always a holiday favorite as well. I have only one thing to say for giving this coveted recipe away.....your welcome 😬

Make the Stars come out this holiday season with this irresistible recipe that will have your guests asking for more. 

What you’ll need:

1 package of Won Ton skins found in the produce department

1 lb package of loose sweet sausage meat

Green and Red pepper chopped 

1 cup of ranch dressing 

2 cups of grated cheddar jack cheese

Olive oil

Pastry brush

Cup cake pan

Pre heat oven to 350. In a cup cake pan, lay pieces of won ton skins over each cup and push in to cups, making a shape that resemble stars. After all cups are filled with won ton, brush olive oil lightly over each one with pastry brush. Bake for 5 minutes or until edges are a light golden brown. Cook all won ton skins in the same way. Set aside. 

In a frying pan brown the sausage and set aside. In a large bowl, combine cheese, peppers, ranch dressing, add sausage then stir. Add this full of to each won ton star and bake for 5 minutes in 350 oven until Cheese is melted. Cool for a few minutes and serve. 

You can add hot peppers, black olives, ground chicken sausage or any other modifications you prefer.
